President – Lynne Hilderbrand
Bio: Lynne has been heavily involved in animal welfare since 1997 and has fostered and placed hundreds of animals (including three baby tigers). BARC obtained its non-profit status in 2002. Lynne created and has administered our year-round spay/neuter program since 2003. BARC has provided over 72,000 free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries. Lynne volunteers all of her time with BARC and has never received any compensation.
Lynne has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fontbonne University and was most recently a Senior Manager in her 40+ year career at Anheuser-Busch. When Lynne isn’t preaching the spay/neuter gospel, she loves hanging out at Lake of the Ozarks with friends and her wonderful husband Markie (and Remi & Louvie of course).
Board Member – Laurie Fromm
Bio: Laurie is a big proponent of spay/neuter and volunteerism. She has had several pets over the years that remain very near and dear to her heart. Laurie has served on the board of directors for Hillsboro R3 Little League, Architectural Woodwork Institute National and the Greater St. Louis Chapter for many years. Laurie is President of Classic Woodworking, Inc where she has enjoyed a 39+ year career. In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband to far off destinations to see Dave Matthews in concert.
Board Member – Ashlyn Ponzar
Ashlyn is a life-long dog lover, and she is especially fond of Frenchies. She has volunteered at BARC events since she was old enough to talk and call the winning raffle numbers. Ashlyn is working on her Masters degree at Maryville University and currently works full time in Sourcing Professional Services at Ameren. In her free time, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, cheering on the Blues, and taking her furry kids to Bar K.
