President – Lynne Hilderbrand

 

Bio:  Lynne is a founding member of BARC and has been actively involved in animal welfare since 1997. Over the years, she has fostered and placed hundreds of animals—including three baby tigers and a bobcat.

Since 2003, Lynne has led BARC’s year-round spay and neuter program, which has subsidized more than 83,000 surgeries for family pets and community cats.

Lynne holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fontbonne University and retired from Anheuser-Busch after a career spanning more than 40 years, most recently as a Senior Manager.

When she isn’t teaching the spay-neuter gospel, Lynne loves spending time with her grandson and relaxing at Lake of the Ozarks with her husband, Mark.

Board Member – Laurie Fromm

Bio:  Laurie is a big proponent of spay/neuter and volunteerism.  She has had several pets over the years that remain very near and dear to her heart.  Laurie has served on the board of directors for Hillsboro R3 Little League, Architectural Woodwork Institute National and the Greater St. Louis Chapter for many years.  Laurie is President of Classic Woodworking, Inc where she has enjoyed a 40+ year career.   In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband to far off destinations to see Dave Matthews in concert.

Board Member – Karen Korn

Bio: Karen is a pet lover and a proponent for helping low-income families with services such as supplemental food, scholarships for college and day camps, and emergency services as well as access to spay and neuter programs. She is retired from Maritz where she was the Senior Vice President of Finance in the Maritz Motivation business.  She has a bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri St. Louis and is a CPA with over 30 years of experience in business. Karen is also the Treasurer on the Circle of Concern Food Pantry Board of Directors. In her free time, she spends time with her grandchildren and loves boating and relaxing at the Lake of the Ozarks with her husband.

Board Member – Ashlyn Ponzar

Bio:  Ashlyn is a life-long dog lover, and she is especially fond of Frenchies.  She has volunteered at BARC events since she was old enough to talk and call the winning raffle numbers.  Ashlyn works full time as an Operations & Event Coordinator at Ameren and owns her own cake pop business called Kiwi Sweets.  In her free time, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and cheering on the Blues.

Board Member – Bonnie Nowak

Bio:  Bonnie has loved animals her entire life and has always cared for their well-being.  She works for the VA St. Louis Health Care System and enjoys traveling with her husband, family and friends.
